Its has been a pretty bust past week.
Tuesday I emailed my Dr. to request a blood test to confirm the pregnancy, I got a response withing and hour letting me know that I could come in that same day after work and they would have my results that night. So of course I went in that night and about 2 hours later I got the call telling me that Yes I am pregnant and they also gave me a due date of DECEMBER 31st!!!
I have my first prenatal appointment set up for this coming up Thursday. The Dr will be doing a ultrasound to measure the baby to see if the due date they gave me matches up with the baby's growth.
We have gotten come great deals so far on baby items from craigslist and rummages. We already have an exersaucer, highchair, stroller, car seat, booster seat for the car, bouncer, kick and play toy thing (lol not sure what they are called), a whole bunch of toys, books and a TON of clothing (all neutral of course). I think I may have spent around $150 for everything so far. A good chunk of the items me got this past week was bought with birthday money that I got from my Grandmother.
Yesterday was my birthday, I had planned to have a bunch of friends over to have a drunken fun night, that was before I found out about the baby, so I stuck with the original plan but I just pretended to drink so I didn't tip any one off to there being something going on. Minus my friends boyfriend getting sooooo drunk that he wanted to fight my husband it turned out to be a really good night. I even got a few baby goodies as a bday gift from the only friend of ours that knows about the pregnancy. Its kinda nice that my baby is getting spoiled for my birthday. lol
Well today is our god daughters birthday. totally looking forward to her reaction to the gift that I made for her.
